Shardenon’s Sphere creates a golden, shimmering sphere around the caster that permits nothing to cross it without the caster’s permission. Seven magic circle spells continuously rotate around gyroscopically and from the outside the interior is filled with dark smoke that not even darkvision or true seeing can penetrate. No sound escapes from inside and no object or effect may cross the barrier. Unwanted creatures may not travel inside by any means (not even plane shifts or teleports) and the spell counts as a force effect for purposes of excluding incorporeal and ethereal creatures.

Shardenon’s Sphere is a layered spell, similar to prismatic wall and can only be destroyed layer-by-layer. The table below summarizes the seven layers of the sphere, their effects, and the spell needed to dispel it. Shardenon’s Sphere is not affected by dispel magic, antimagic field, or a rod of cancellation.
